How about another way to prime the pumps is to fill the canister up with fuel prior to assembly? Just thinking of another way to avoid the primer bulb and sourcing one of those fittings

@arimiller2020 says:

Hi I am getting a Fuel vent overflow error on a Verado 150
Any suggestions?
Thanks

@mattcollins8603 says:

i have a 70hp merc replaced both pumps motor runs about 20seconds wide open then dies if squeeze the bulb it runs great again for 30 second the never stalls out but runs rough

@7milepro387 says:

Is a "faulty lift pump" error message in the gauges a definitive faulty lift pump or could it be something else in the fsm? thanks

@Tfam305 says:

Thank you!!!

@tikibarpirate1 says:

In your video, there is a small port looking fitting on the lower right hand side of the fuel supply module. When the motor is running should there be water coming out of this fitting?

@donfetterman7092 says:

Thank you for this Video!!! I really appreciate the slow patient review – step by step – process including the finish step of priming!!
thanks from all of us

Is there a way to drain fsm if it has old fuel you want to remove

@bakervinci163 says:

What a pain in the ass. I’ll stick with my 300r

@andrewrobson7662 says:

Hi these are great videos. You mention you dont want to get fuel in the vent canister, as it causes problems. What sort of problems do you get? I have just replaced an injector on my 2006 150hp verado and she wont run clean at higher RPMs just cuts out. Seems to take an age to prime as well. We tried to get air out of injector rail and also the green valve I think called the fuel air vent.

Howdy, Great video! I subbed! I have a new problem with my Mercury 90 EFI 4-stroke (I think 2004 M.Y.) after servicing it and it not having been run since last year. Last year was first year I owned boat and never one single problem or warning beeps. Last fall I changed oil, oil filter, lower drive lube, and spark plugs before putting boat in storage. Just before I put it in the water the other day for first time of the year, I turned the drain valve on the remote water separator and drained it thinking that was okay to do to purge any water out. Boat started right up in water but then shortly thereafter I got 4 beeps. Longer in length. Then 2-3 minutes goes by and 4 more beeps. Boat seems to run fine off-idle but I noticed at idle/trolling speed it’s running rough almost like it’s misfiring. I did not operate/run the boat long because I didn’t want to get stranded out on the water or damage anything. I found a “fix it” thread online that had things pointing to the FSM on one guys boat that had similar symptoms and warning beeps as mine is having. Battery is also fully charged. I did read low voltage can cause 4 beeps. Any thoughts? Really appreciate any advice. Thanks

Hello, if the float is not working, what is the problem with the engine? I find benzene in the oil in large quantities. Does it have a relationship?

@halidhabsaoui7427 says:

Thanks for the quality of the video. There is water circulating in the F SM is it possible for water and gasoline to mix?

@zachwalls461 says:

I have a 2010 mercury754 stroke. My last trip out ot sputtered about out.. I've replaced the two inline filters. And have noticed the fule float wires are black not red. I can hear the fule prime for quite some time when I turn key over but no start fule is in both filters.. but no start any idea

@rnendzame says:

Ty for the video… mechanics are expensive..anything I can do on my own , I do..ty for the videos.

@andrewhanneman3951 says:

2015 mercury verado L4 gave it full beans everything was fine running along 1-2mins then fell on its face will not rev over 4500rpm. Think it could be a failing fsm switch?

@jayhorn9286 says:

2009 Mercury Verado 300, updated float switch, hard hose in between pumps, new lifter pump, vent good, fuel pick up in tank good, all new fuel lines, however it throws a critical fuel pump warning code and falls on its face like its running out of fuel. Any ideas?

@jamesrahn8339 says:

I needed this badly today!! Thank thank you thank you

@johnloverin740 says:

Great tutorial, not sure if my motor problem is related to the FSM. Need advice, 2012 Verado 250 cut out after going into plane (felt like a temporary vapor lock/fuel issue), motor tried to restart on its own. I shut down at the touch pad and reset main breaker. After a minute I restarted and all good the rest of the trip with no warning signals. Is this a FSM type issue. Will a diagnostic test reveal the issue. Thanks great page and site keep up the great work.

@johngjacobi says:

you the champ…wish you were up in North Palm Beach area to work on my Verado's

@orgblackswan says:

I know this is a old video, but thought I'd ask. I have a 2006 250 verado. The motor ran fine until headed home. Now studder on hole shot and wot. Run fine mid range, ant ideas.
