just replaced upper gearcase on mine, yes its a good thing that no one was
recording because it would have been one continuous bleeeeeeeep, then the
lower unit just about broke my hand as I was trying to do it by myself and
my hand slipped off as it landed on my other hand. deffinetly worth the $10
for the oil pump also, filling it with oil was another bleep moment, but it
was well worth it though been out every night this week:)

monday night quarterback that’s why we’re watching this. i had to post cuz
i can’t stayed neutral any longer.

Josh Cottrell says:

The shift cable was broken. That is why it would never work. It works now!

hewitt52 says:

did you ever get it fixed?

Josh Cottrell says:

Come to find out, this lower unit would not align correctly because of a
broken shift cable.

Greencoachdog says:

The service manual is just the manufacturers opinion eh? If the 3
knuckleheads will disconnect the shift linkage at the motor that lower unit
will slide right off. There’s plenty of vids right here on youtube that
show how to do this!

4smelendez says:
