Mecha Jay says:

Its been fun watching these shippers lose their minds over this.

Peasham says:

So, facts on the table:
Inside the show, both are wearing marriage rings and the sister of the main character calls herself the sister-in-law of Miorine, Suletta's wife.
The official Gundam Twitter tweeted out an image with a caption describing it, which described Miorine as Suletta's wife.
The writer of the series, Okuchi, has said multiple times that they're a couple and has retweeted explicitly gay fanart congratulating him on representing a good gay relationship.
Various other people who've worked on the show have likewise stated that they're married, including their voice actresses.
The magazine censored the voice actress saying they're married, only for a PR representative who did not work on the show to say that it's up to interpretation. If it were up to interpretation, she wouldn't have been censored.

I thought anime fans were all against corporate censorship in general and specifically of anime, where you at?

Serg Jim says:

Rule #1 never ever trust bandai lmao
Also if you only watched wfm for the yuri…… congratulations you got played like a fiddle

Also im glad wfm is over its a mid gundam anime with a shit ending…. but hey atleast now the ending is what ever you want it be lmao

TBoneTony says:

I don't think people realize that there are many Yuri and Yaoi manga out there already that have forbidden romances.
Let Gundam be Gundam and get these Western people out of Anime productions.
There was a Yuri moment between two female robot pilots in Godannar, fleshed out really well within 2 episodes.
Godannar was a parody of Giant Robot anime from the 2000s, let the parodies be parodies, let main series be main series.

Jiro says:

I see comments on this video saying how obvious it is, comment saying it felt forced and comments saying they didnt even act romantic towards each other. So weird theirs such dramatic differences

schou43 says:

This is ridiculous. I've seen the show. There was no doubt that the characters were married. They had wedding rings and one of the girls sister called the other her sister-in-law. This is some suits trying to retcon the shows central relationship for no good reason.

androyus says:

So, no commenters here actually want to elaborate on the ending? Well, spoilers below:

Both the main characters are blatantly shown wearing matching wedding rings and the episode highlighted those rings by making them shine. Also, one of the side characters (Eri) who is a sister of Suletta called Mio her sister-in-law erasing any doubts that Suletta & Mio are married to each other. It's just Bandai trying to retcon obvious stuffs and fans called them out. This is really not the first time they did this. They retconned a character's death before this, and also retconned the entire Gundam multiverse continuity to fit one timeline.

Joe says:

So a voice actress shared her opinion and western "fans" took it as canon. Then they said "it's up to you," and westerners couldn't handle not forcing their opinion on others, so they cry about it…Yup, sounds like western "fans" on twitter.

Yi Ching Lau says:

That does it. I had seen ENOUGH about entertaining companies doing the Budlight level of nonsense. I don't mind at all about the Yuri elements in the Gundam Mercury Witch thing but the problem here is that show itself focused more on the pilot's "Rosey and Juliet" instead of, oh I dunno, battle robots that are fighting at a war at galaxies?! Something that is Gundam's selling point?!

MisterAnime343 (Revy's Husband) says:

I also needed to do a video addressing this whole thing and also this is why I can't stand shippers as long as they aren't shoving their views down people's throats and quite frankly, I am just getting fed up with these so called "Shippers" shoving their space gay relationships into something that shouldn't be in there, but I really loved how Micah Curtis gave the middle finger to the wokies that wanted LGBT representation.

BSGA22 says:

The only reason I wouldn't want them to be gay is because of the annoying "Gundam was always gay" crowd.

juliox9 says:

namco:
they are married
no they are not
is up to you to decide
make up you minds you mofos. i saw the damn thing and if it up to me they are not married and if they are these is the most shitty and force yuri i have ever seen in my life.

have watched some gundamn series, including G, yea is cool but the cheese as all hell XD, my favorite in 00

Mondo says:

lmao they're all stupid asf. Everyone knows best girl. is Chu Chu. Couldn't even get that right.

Mr. GRD says:

Well… at least the girls are attractive enough instead of those ugly ones here in America.

Joke Skellington says:

Fanzine = fan magazine. In other words, fan fiction

EvaUnit02 says:

I was loving G-witch right up until the ending. It was rushed and pandered to tourist Western shippers. They could've used another 12 ep season to flesh out the story. Nowhere in the series did Suletta and Miorine ever act like characters with any romantic feelings for each other, the shipper epilogue came out of nowhere. The villains of the show faced no consequences for their actions either.
