You can get that bottom bolt out easily by crawling under the vehicle. You
have to pull the dash out to remove the heater core. There’s no other way.

nice video but fails to mention:>> The 4th bolt which is under the glove
box in the interior. …which is why the video suddenly turns off as he is
yanking on it….then he turns cam on again and he is holding it. Yep..he
discovered the 4th bolt:) and use caution with the vacuum plug when you
pull the box away,

glad you posted this comment, i was trying to figure out why i couldnt get
the cover off too….now what i’m trying to figure out is….the haynes
manual shows i can remove the heater core by going through the glove box
and dropping it out from the polum cover thingy…but in a different video
of this guys he took the whole dash off…i’m hoping the manual is right
and this dude put a video up of how to do it the hard way…lol…otherwise
this is going to take long..i have a 96 ford explorer

Here is a question??? If you never had air conditioning installed at all
before, do you have to change the inner duct work? If you remake this
video, it would be nice to see the interior bolt removal, the hole before
placing it back on, and what connections you had to remove before you
uninstalled it and what did you repair or replace?
