Now that’s what I call a good fix.
Thanks. A number of Fords of this era have this problem. Using wood is NOT
a problem; it is needed for spacing the hinge center-line correctly. Ford
also uses rivets to secure the original blend door to the HAVC housing, so
one has to drill them out and use the screws you see. The Customer has not
had any HVAC issues since this service.
