I have just managed to remove the bench seat in my van. Went to merc dealers and they were struggling. Took it back home, tried again, all I can say is thank heavens for crow bars.

In case of a single set of 3 seats there is only one handle to use, when I pull out to the up, I see that the back of the ground ties opening but the seat still lock (impossible to toggle)
I came across this video as I took out the seats last night of my brand new V Class AMG Line and am having a nightmare refitting and have vowed not to remove again – Very Bad design
The video doesn't show refitting the bench… bet they struggled too much! Tip – Slide the whole row back in the rails firstly to make more space for the seats to tilt fully.
I can confirm that removing and installing these seats is an absolute nightmare. Unbelievably bad design unfortunately. Such a shame because apart from that its a beautiful machine
That is the worst System I‘ve ever had. The middle row is to near to the Front row, so it‘s almost impossible to get the Seat back in. I will Never take it out again
