Right over the exhaust manifold and no heat shield, that is something a
ricer would do. You put it where the air filter box was and a heat shield
around it.
What year is that?
I wanna see how many times this car going to stall from hot air and how my
check engine lights. What a newb, I wouldn’t even do that with my E90, I
did the charcoal delete with a K&N drop in, keeps it away from the heat and
gives it a decent sound.
Is there a certain size air filter you need? And does this make more sound
then just replacing the filters that fit inside the filter box?
congratulations on making it a “HOT AIR” intake. it gets really hot under
the hood and removing the plastic air inlet pipe means your only sucking in
hot air IE: loss of power. but if your only going for hearing the turbo

How much did the air filter intake cost and where did u purchase?? And did
any sign pop up on the dash board after a few days??
No heat sheild. Now its a hot air intake

nice check out mine did little more for performance
This car is so slow adding a K&N filter wont do anything. Plus its sucking
in hot air.
