Kyle Butler says:

well my thoughts would be the relay first, and then the pump&filter –
couldn’t you have tested to see if voltage was getting to the pump before
towing it to the shop?

Immobilien Hameln says:

brandon00012000 says:

I ran my 300e outta gas.i know the pumps working ..ive changed the
filter..changed my plugs .and am losing my mind as to why it wont
start.could the fuel line be full of crud from the bottom of the tank? And
how do you fix that?

supra29 says:

I have a 1989 300E as well ◕‿◕

DoriFord says:

Yup. I had to change the fuel pump after I got my 300TE. Strange enough the
fuel pump sounds like it’s gonna end up soon again. So I think I gotta
clean or change my fuel tank.

TheMastermine101 says:

i had the same problem with my fuel pump on a 300e had to changes one of
the fuel pump and the filter to.

Bobby Julian says:

I suppose you had the key on so the fuel pump was on and it was before the
filter. Troubleshooting one like this is fun! Waiting for part 2……….

Michael Sim says:

Harvey Handbanana says:

compu85 says:

I once had a car that would fire and idle when cold, but would misfire when
reved up, and would eventually die again. I tested spark, there was plenty
of fuel… I was stumped. The problem ended up being a bad distributor cap
causing weak spark… just enough to idle but not enough to run properly.
