Would this work on a 99 SLK 230 seat bottom as well?

fupabox says:

lol…you’re quite welcome

Alright, my backrest is finally upright…realised that my seat covers hid the knob thats why i didnt notice it for a year! LOL..thanks alot bro!

kl says:

thanks man!, I will go and check it out when i get back to my car.

fupabox says:

there should be a round gear like looking knob on the inside side of the seat backrest(just above the centre console) turning that adjusts the backrest..

ur videos have been very help ful so far..but i got to ask a very noob question. i got a w202 c180 mercedes benz 1995 classic. how do i adjust my backrest such that it comes upwards? mine has been leaning more backwards..and i own the car for a year already:( help please

ok, it makes sense to me. I will try it again this coming weekend. Thank you so much for your time.

fupabox says:

the only difference with heated seats would be the 2 wire plug connector at the bottom of the seat and back rest..otherwise it should be the exact same..someone possibly applied some glue to the tab channel to keep the cover from popping out, which would make removal a pain if they used a ton of glue..Mercedes used the same method of attaching seat coverings for over 25 years

First of all, I really appreciate your videos, I have saved money and time, second I have a W202 C280 1994 with heated seats. The procedure to remove the seat cover is the same? I have no idea because I tried to remove it as your instructions with no success. Any ideas? Thanks again.

the wrecking yard I use is in Ontario Canada,,”Cookstown auto wreckers”

where is the mercedes recking yard ??

Top man thank you 🙂 keep up the good work !

your easiest option is to take the entire seats…fronts are 4 bolts to the floor, and 1 bolt on the seatbelt to remove the whole seat (+ a few electrical connectors for heated or power seats etc..) rear bottom bench ,you push in on the base of the seats at the outer edges and pull up then slide the rear out..the seat back is held in with a few (2 or 3 ) 10mm bolts if I remember correctly..it’s been a while since I removed a w202 rear seat, but it’s pretty easy…good luck on the project 🙂

Hey fupabox, great videos used many of them as guides for working on my w202. Do you have any advice on how to remove all the seats in the car as I am looking to replace the fabric ones with leather. Thanks from England 🙂
