Man, what a pain. I remember replacing thermostats back home like my bmw
320i and countless GM cars and trucks when it was easy to get to the water
pump and took less than 10 min to swap out or the heater cores which took
more time to do but generally no more than a few hours

That’s a very extreme solution to a simple problem lol

Looks like one of these jobs you wish you wouldn’t have started. However as
you now have basically no cooling system for the engine by the time you
realise this, going to a garage is no longer an option! Are any of your
games at play expo next weekend btw?

Arcade cabs and car repairs. Very impressed! 🙂

At least a million hours, maybe 2 🙂

My mums E class had this problem, her solution was to replace the car lol

arcadeuk says:

It was certainly a job that I wish I never started. I looked at the
instructions for the left hand drive car and reckon I could have done it in
1:00 – 1:30 on an LHD. My hands, fingers and arms were cut to bits trying
to work blind under the master cylinder. None of mine at Play Expo but I am
helping setup the Jamma+ area

Because I am used to doing so many repairs myself, I think sometimes I look
at a job and think it is going to be easier than it is. As this is a common
fault the dealerships have probably done it hundreds of times and have a
special procedure and tools to do the job in a quarter of the time (but
still send me a big bill I bet lol)

Lol, 1 million hours! Looks a nightmare, I always take mine to the dealers
😉
