I don’t think the parts are hard to find…For instance a plastic sunvisor
trim piece for my 22 year old SL is available from the dealership in the
original colours…every nut bolt clip and screw is still available at the
dealership…..expensive..but available (centre console wood trim $4500 !!
) lol…but routine parts are easy to find and not expensive

fupabox says:

that’s a great price..if you don’t mind a slightly firmer ride,get the poly
bushings..about $100 per pair (1 for each side) they will never wear out
again…a bit of a harsher ride though

what are the symptoms of bad bushings ?? and my car ((r170 slk)) has this
bad thing where when you go to a corner fast ish it just push wide to the
curve like 1-2 sec`s then it bites and it bites hard as much as it will
shoot me to the other curve (( coz i was steering away from the other one))
and i have to fight the heck out of the steering wheel at that point :S i
can hear the tires sliding sideways or skidding i guess for those 2secs and
when i say fast i mean some thing like 60-70kmh :>

hey i had a question for ya… do you find this statement hard to believe
that parts are really getting hard to find for the w124s? i missed the
simplicity of the older w124s. with all of these aftermarket sites like
rockauto and autohausaz. i found it hard to believe honestly and just
wanted to hear another opinion from another car enthusiast like myself.
thanks 🙂

means to change them :> but thanks man your the best ^^

KingStivan says:

well gr8 price or not i kinda dont have the cash for it now :> but ya i
will look in to it thanks man for the info ^^

fupabox says:

likely it is the rear bushing on the front lower control arm…when you
make a tight turn in a parking lot at slow speeds your front wheels will
kind of chip and slide? another test is to reverse in a straight line and
hit the brakes fairly hard..if you hear a clunk,it’s the control arm
bushing..the sway bar bushings will usually clunk a bit when you hit bumps
or change direction quickly..they are cheap to do,so I always do them
whether they are gone or not..these 2 weren’t terribly bad
