Djonkie Bonk says:

Well considering that the MB V6 motor is essentially an MB V8 with 2
cylinders chopped off and the M272 motor in the C280/300/350 are used in V6
powered S Classes in Europe under the hood work will be relatively the same
all across the board. The same goes for the brakes and some suspension
components. As for the airmatic that’s a whole different story but most MBs
don’t have that.

johnpagecontraband says:

That’s because its only a C class. Beautiful looking car but these higher
classes are pretty hard cars to work on.

Carlos Cuadra says:

It depends on which steering wheel you have. Early or late production
model. Early has four buttons and late has two. If you have the early
one..then you get to menus with the bottom left button. If you have the
late production steering wheel then the button on the left will get you to
the reset menu. Good luck!

Jai Glover says:

Where is the reset switch after you do this 2003 s430 4matic

Todd Neyman says:

yeah good video. helped me go through my entire service on a s500 2001

Carlos Cuadra says:

Yes, you should be able to buy the filters from most auto stores.

Steven Woud says:

Thank you for the video. Can I get those filters and etc. from
Autozone(store)?

Carlos Cuadra says:

She got the tennis ball off the bumper. 🙂

Todd Neyman says:

did a dog just jump on the car at 16:00?

Djonkie Bonk says:

Nice. Love your no bullshit approach to doing things. I just got an 06 C280
and will change the oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter and plugs. It’s my
first German car and I’m used to Japanese tin boxes but these Benzes don’t
seem too daunting to maintain.

MrRu06 says:

Nice video. Your dog is funny.

Carlos Cuadra says:

Read previous post please, I’m not particularly sure what your particular
model uses so if you have access to your service manual use that good luck.

john smith says:

Thank you for this.

john smith says:

I got a 2000 s430. My oil pressure inspection port cover on the front of
the engine is leaking. Can you make a video or tell me how to replace it.
Its a common problem..

Jaime Huezo says:

I HAVE A S500 WITH 160,000 MILES, WHAT TYPE OF OIL SHOULD I USE?

Mario Cuadra says:

Quedo andando sedita, como una maquina de cocer.

Mario Cuadra says:

That was an awesome video. It gives me the courage to do this work myself.
Thanks for covering the S430.

Brett Merriman says:

First…great vid! I have an ’02 S55 AMG and B service is due in 200 miles.
What type of oil? Synthetic?

Federico Schiaffino says:

Se jodio el carro 🙁

Carlos Cuadra says:

Yes Brett, use 5W-40 synthetic oil.

Erradi A says:

Sorry for my english, Thank you very much for taking the time to make this
nice video. I am far from having any mechanic skills but when I watch this
video I will go ahead and buy the necessary tools to do my B services
myself on my s430 exactlly as shown on your video. If you don’t mind, what
did you use to lift the car, and what safety precaution should i take?
(just back from the dealership ( replacing the steering wheel clockspring
(over 500$). Thank you.

Carlos Cuadra says:

Erradi, I used car ramps that you can buy from most auto parts stores. I
also used a automotive floor jack and a pair of good safety stands. I also
recommend safety glasses. Buy a good set of basic hand tools and you should
be good to go. Good luck!

Steve Petreski says:

thanks buddy great to see this .. anyone capable of opening my jammed
glovebox s430
