Thank you for your help, I was able to get my car started. Thanks for all
the videos on Mercedes, they sure have been of great help too.
lock the door manually from the passenger side with the key…go to drivers
side and point the remote at the drivers door sensor and unlock…within 15
seconds insert the key and try to start..if it won’t start, point the remote
at the rearview mirror and lock the doors …then try start again..if not
point at rearview and unlock..then start…sometimes the proper procedure
for recognizing the key doesn’t want to work, and you need to try a couple
weird combos
I changed the battery in my remote which is same as the one on this video,
just one button. The doors lock and unlock but the car does not start, it
goes to start and shuts off after half a second. How do I re sync this kind
of remote on 1997 c230?
pull the rubber door seal away from the edge beside the drivers door
handle…you will see a small hole…small phillips head screw to remove
and the red/green lock receiver light pops right off
Hey Fupabox great video! I have a 97 C280 and the red and green lights that
indicate locking and unlocking on the drivers door has gone bad. I was
wondering if you knew how to go about changing it?
I haven’t had to remove that sensor before ,but it should be
straightforward once the door panel is off..I have to get to the wrecking
yard in the next couple of days and will see if I can get an idea on any
oddities that may be involved removing it
Sweet. Thanks!
I took a look today and i pulled away the rubber seal but i couldnt find
any the small phillips screw. There is only 1 bolt that i beleive holds the
door handle in place.
I’ll check again today on a friends car
