This is HFM (hot film air mass measurement) , not MAF
Hi great info. I bpught the 30 quid MAF and the engine management light came back on. The errors codes are
1. Hot film air mass sensor
2. Mixtur adaption 1
3. Atomspheric pressure senso
4. Ine manifole sensor
Do you I need a new Bosch one or there are more problems then that?

definitely getting a bosch one as i dont want the problems to occur again, used to freak me out driving around and hoping that it didnt stall haha. thanks for the video once again
Glad I could be of assistance. I wouldn’t recommend the 30 quid MAFS, they just don’t last as long as the Bosch ones. But glad it’s running well for now.
Amazing video thanks a lot saved me a lot of money..my clk was struggling for power and sometimes would shake and stall when stopped, it was so annoying. got a new mass air flow sensor from eBay for £29.65, watched this video and changed it. Car is perfect now. Thanks a lot once again
Caro,io sono un tecnico del settore e non mi fa paura ne anche una bravo HGT che con un 2.0 20v dentro un cofano molto striminzito,ha una ditribuzione che la fiat ti da 10 ore lavorative x sostituirla,xè il coperchio sta a 2 cm dal longherone sx.Io cmq non darei queste perle,xè poi questi fanno danno e quelli come me devono rimettere in ordine certi guasti, che non ti dico cosa ci trovo in fondo a quei motori.Cmq era solo x scherzare. :-))

E’ uno dei sistemi piu’ facili. Prova a farlo su qualcosa francese o italiana e ti spari. Alla fine loi fai in 2 minuti, ma ho voluto fare una piccola guida per chi non sa cosa deve fare. Grazie per aver guardato il mio video! 🙂

This was done after I installed the new MAF, but you can do it before, it’s the same 🙂
The important thing is to drive around across the rev-range so the ECU gets all the new readings.
Aren’t you supposed to unplug the battery first to reset the ECU to compensate the new MAF sensor readings?
Excellent video. Very informative. I love you did it in real time. You explained things perfectly.. Now I feel confidant I can locate and remove the M.A.F. sensor in my E Class. I’ll try cleaning it first. thanks again for the video.

I had to replace mine in my slk and I found one on there new for $70 so yeah don’t buy it from benz! they wanted $600 lol
Awesome video ^^ ,my merc also had issues with idle and sometimes extended cranking,so im thinking of replacing it asap. Im not sure how much my dealer would charge me for a new but i might get one off ebay (new) and mount it myself,useful fid!
