Great video, however, why are some sites/videos saying that you need to use a scan tool to "retract the piston actuator" first?
Is a scan tool necessary, and if you don't use one, does it set an idiot light on the instrument cluster?
The fcp video on the c300 shows greasing up the guide pins so the caliper can slide. Why the difference?
Good luck attempting this job on jack stands. I could not get enough clearance to use a breaker bar and those caliper bracket bolts are on very thight.
This is a very helpful video. Would like see some w164 and r129 videos too.
Best video on mb brake job!
Thank you for giving torque specs but prefer ft lbs over nm and specs flash by a little too quickly. Look forward to more.
Just did brakes on my ML63 AMG, thanks for the help brother.
Beauty well explained
какие тормоза с 2 поршнями можно поставить на заднюю ось мл 164?
I wish you'd do a video on the oil cooler replacement
Amg package/midnight package affect brake pad size for the 20 inch rims?
Great video. Thanks!!
What brake pad recommended? Oem, bosch, etc??
Can I use the x166 Braket/caliper (this one on the vid) and swap it to a X164 ?, I want to use the 375mm drilled rotors instead of the 350mm solid one that comes in the 2008 GL550… Looks like the Braket holes are located at the same spot… Or….
Can I use only the 375mm rotors on the X164 caliper?… please help 🙂
Why some mercedes brake videos advise grease on pads and slide pins and other mercedes videos don't, what's correct?
my car used a 9mm hex
Mother fucking Kyle! I was just looking up how to work on an ISF and let the video play and your shit randomly autoplays. Congrats man!
Good job buddy, I am a Mb fans
What does one torque the lug nut too?
I really wish they would use some anti seize on the hub surface from the factory
before you retract the piston back on the caliper, shouldn't you have the brake fluid reservoir open and watch it from over flowing while retracting the piston?
