MercedesDieselGuy says:

As always, these are easy cars to work on. A sign of very good engineering.

coolakiIlen007 says:

yeah exactly, no it looked surprisingly “easy” just gotta know the correct
steps.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

I agree. The black ones look so much better and seem to resist sun cracking
a lot better. It’s actually not nearly as bad a job as one might think.

coolakiIlen007 says:

great vid, ive always wondered how big of a job it would be to remove a
merc dashboard. i love the black ones with that wood trim list on it, same
ive got in my 240D. but HATE the blue ones!

MercedesDieselGuy says:

You pull back the fabric-covered rubber trim by the door, and then pry the
A-pillar trim out – I believe toward the center of the car. There are clips
that actually hold it to the A-pillar.

Tugboatpb says:

How do you remove the A-pillar trim?

MercedesDieselGuy says:

Getting there. I have a few suspension components to pull, the steering
gearbox, the door panels, window regulators, and door windows. Still have
to take the grill off, windshield wiper motor, etc.

Michael Sackstein says:

So this is basically it?
