Totally agreed with you! This system is not working obviously! Its not only
you and me who complains its all cars! ALL. I am a car dealer I know I see
this every single day in my life. The Mercedes dropped the quality just win
the competition on the market! Using systems that clearly was not tested
enough. And they fail. Sad, they know about it but dont give a… Mercedes
is no more quality car from 1999. Its only a nice car but not a quality.
Thank you so much for making this video! Though I wish you would have shown
the actual removal or installation, I now have a better idea on the
removal/installation of the strut.

You sure thats a 3/4 inch nut on a Mercedes? Ive been doing A LOT of work
on my benzs and I dont think I ever ran into a bolt that wasnt Metric
@dalundan No special tools require.use a screw jack to a-line the lower
strut bolt to the lower control arm.

No good for nothing. Thats how u can describe the Mercedes Air Suspension.
Total waste of money and time. You replace the old ones to new one then you
need soon replace the replacements again and this goes on and on because
its a failure from the Mercedes. They should already about 10 years ago
call back all cars with this system. Its not working. Or better to say it
works for 1-2 years. While one strut costs £1000 so good luck!@

Mercedes-Benz should be ashamed by their Air-Suspension. From 1992 to 2007,
they still couldnt get them to work. They leak, they make noises, relay
fails, pump fails, fuse fails, the caps fail, bags fails, there is no
component in their strut that doesn’t fail. I don’t understand how they can
get away with it with no recalls!

Thanks for this video, my driver side strut totally failed today. I am
guessing this is a bolt out and bolt on procedure, How long did the entire
project take ?
@SteveXnycperformance Thanks, one more question: Did you need any special
tools, or is t his just a bolt out and bolt back in and make sure you get
all the sensors plugged in correctly kinda project?
Benz still make a quality car when compare to the other plastic:). sure the
air chamber can be re-seal. it will require dis-assemble of the strut and
application of 3M 4240 poly adhesive to re-attach the and seal the chamber.
SHAME ON BENZ,I HAVE A QUESTION ON THE DAMAGE STRUT, IS THERE ANY WAY TO
SEAL IT? MY DID THE SAME THING IT GOT LOSE FROM THE BOTTOM.
