very helpful thank you for your time to do this. I’ve visited a mercedes
dealer in Kuwait and ask how much would it cost to get a new key. The told
me its around 535 USD. it’s so expensive

batteries from walmart and it turned on for few seconds and the batteries
died real fast.

@dodgergreen I didn’t either. My question is why. Two batteries for what
the range has never been that great on our 2001 E-320. Two batteries seems
like a waste.

I got a Benz e500 and my batteries on the smart key always seem to die
within a month every month, not sure if I am getting the correct ones or if
I need to turn something off, not sure what the problem is.. help.

You can’t mention which way the batteries go? That would be a 3 second
closeup. Since the key didn’t work I had to call the dealer to verify and
was put on hold for 5 minutes. Thanks for the info about getting battery
case out, though.
