I follow this to replace a lightbulb for a 2007 E350. I was able to reach my hand inside the space to get the plastic lid out and twist the lightbulb base to get it out, but it was very difficult. There is simply too little room to apply any power to twist it. Then I was not able to put it back in reverse order of the way it came out. I had to take the head lamp assembly out in order to put it back in (I will try to make a video and post it here). This isn’t for anyone who is not a “handyman”.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do the one handed installation so you could share with us. After watching this, I was able to replace my bulbs in a snap. Appreciate it!
Thanks so much for the detail. Looked at a couple of other vids before yours and they skipped over the very part I needed. How to take the bulb out. I thought it was more complicated than it was. Just pull, duh! Thanks for posting! I had it in and tested in three mins!
Thks a million for the great vid and Drive Safely
thank you!
Thank you!! Nice and easy 🙂
What do you mean by pry the bulb off? Can you take a video shot of that too?
Good video, exactly what I was looking for
On the 1998 CLK 320 lock in clips hold the bulb sock in, you don’t really have to turn the socket.
The 1998 CLK 320 is similar but you must undo a lock in clip before turning the bulb socket out.

Poor video towards the end…how do you get the bulb out from the socket? Do you have to use the “electrical grease”…he did not know what it was!
This video helped me up to the point when he took the bulb out the little socket, im afraid of tearing something up.
Yes! Thanks for this. It really helped.
thank you much. very good info save me a lot of time.

Fabulous! Thank you so much for uploading this…It works!
I did it in less than 4 minutes! Thanks!
It’s important to have a good grip on the light bulb. Always use the “three-finger-hold” on the light bulb so you don’t lose it.
question, since this is the same chassi as the 97 e420 mercedes, than this procedure should work the same right?
Thank you Mr. Nena. Your place in heaven is assured!
how about the fog lights?
I also thought I was screwed when I saw the 2 screws, but your video was very clear. Good job, and thanks.
