How to Remove and Replace an Alternator – Mercedes C240 C320 E320 CLK320 ML320 V6

Here is how you can go about replacing an Alternator on a Mercedes C240 but this procedure should be very similar if not the same for other models like the C320, E320, ML320 and ML350 that come with a V6 Engine. Removing the alternator will require you to remove the drive or serpentine belt first and than the mounting bolts that attach it to the engine. Also dont forget to remove the negative cable to your battery as safety precaution.

Thanks for the details on this. Nice to see what you're doing, rather than just "imagine"…and thanks also for the cautious reminders. Great.

Excellent topic, but video is rushed. Could have shown more useful details in 10 minutes. I am not a mechanic, but I am technical and can fix mechanical problems with proper directions.

Please post more Mercedes videos. I find it very hard to get any videos on E320. Can you do some videos of how to replace front axles, rear and front rotors, shocks, upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, engine mounts, front propeller shaft(front drive-shaft)? And maybe some videos how to replace front bumpers, headlights and grill? Much appreciated.
