Due to popular demand, I’ve made a video instructing you step by step on how to remove a Mercedes intake manifold. If you have any questions at all, you can comment your questions or contact me personally (contact info is at the end of the video).

Very good tuto, the only remark is you start with a GL450 V8 (M273 engine), why to finish the video with a V6 engine (M272), did you get a problem to put the air intake back on the V8 ?
I enjoyed the video. hopefully I will not have to do this on my 2016 SL550 till many years from now. I pray they have already updated this on the production line it seems to be a weakness or as I say Miss engineer to save a few bucks. I would have thought having such a high price tag these situations would have been averted. thank you
excellent instructional video, thank you
Where are you located?
Great video and tips. I have performed several of these and I am 100% with you on the spray adhesive.
Great Job! an excellent tutorial video! Thank you !
If your installing the Manifold repair arm kit do you have to remove the intake?
Can you do some video on AMG C63 2008 TO 2015 on vacuum testing and EGA valve fuel pressure test and how to install FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
It's easy to take it apart. The hard part is putting it all back together again. By the way, your mechanic has the arms of an Auschwitz Death Camp survivor.
Great Video, I request you to do a video on Mercedes W221 cdi, replacing the oil coolent seals!! Woiuld be most greatful!!
by the way – this would have been $3600 with new manifold at dealer. thanks to your help I did it for the cost of the lever and an afternoon.
I just did this service yesterday – replaced the runner actuator P2004 and this was very helpful. I especially appreciated the tips, like adhesive on one side of gasket. Thanks so much!
wow! Very detailed, thank you.
Great video.
Where are you based can I bring my car to you
Roman. when you're talking about the tools in the beginning, you mentioned "Wrench 17". are you talking about 17mm wrench? Please advise. Thank you
Hi Roman. I have been contemplating this on my 2001 CLK 320 Cabriolet (W208) for over a year. That vacuum tube that energizes the internal flaps for the runners broke; so my car is not running well. Anything I should know for my particular model? I know the clip on the throttle body is difficult to open but what other obstacles do I face? I already purchased the I take, gaskets and new bolts. I thought I would also replace the two knock sensors while I'm at it. If I tackle replacing the valve gaskets (both have minor leaks) what would be the best order of repair? Thank you for your effort in helping all of us!
Your video is awesome. You should sell your part on ebay so everybody can buy it.
At 17 minutes into your video you mentioned an issue regarding oil leak and suggest replacing crank ventilation valve. I have a mercedes e350 and am unable to find the mercedes part number for the item you are referencing. Is it called something else? Would you recommend anything else to replace while the intake manifold has been removed? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Can you help me please.I have a 2007 MB E350 that has cylinder #6 is misfiring.I checked plugs, coils, injectors and i also did compression test.
They are all okay. Its Idles rough when at the stop light or on park.It is normal when driving.Any help will be appreciate it .
Thank you,
Thank You Roman, we spoke a couple of weeks ago and I was planning on replacing the lever for the swirl flaps on my 2008, R350 Mercedes. I could not have done this without your instruction's and you were correct what a pain it is to do this on a R350 with the engine buried so deep. I did not follow the part where you had removed the black device on the front giving you access to the vacuum hoses and looking back I wish I had. My cabling was not as easy to hang out of the way, please tell me what a Mercedes dealer would have charged for this, knowing that he would have made me purchase a manifold and again it would have had the plastic levers. I also replaced the center rod that connects to the actuator with a new metal one and hopefully this will add some extended life to the actuators
Transmission fluid is next job, I plan to drain the torque converter mine appears t have a an access port so that I can unscrew it and catch the fluid along with draining the pan and cleaning, could you tell me where I could get a transmission dipstick, or would measuring what comes out and replacing with same amount
Great job Ronan i will see you in February
