comparing this with mercedes xenon philips aftermarket, with the 250/350 version with xenon manufactures will not have much difference since it used the same and also philips. xD

Hi, is the installation on a GLK similar to the C class?

Trades46 says:

Very informative and detailed. Does the cut-off point (for the low beams) comply with legal standards? I know the pre-facelift W204 w/o bi-xenon standard had projector halogen headlamps. Does this also work for the facelifted W204 with the reflector headlamps?

manuhack99 says:

unfortunately my W211 (E class 2006) is completely inaccessible in the headlamp area… tried miserably for 4 hours… but you can’t fit a hand in there without taking the headlamp out or a part of the bumper… and the bonnet is even longer, but still, no space for a hand. this C Class is quite accessible.

nice video anyway! at least I know what to do 🙂

Pedro Gutierrez says:

Is it the same way for a mercedes CLK430

Dmitrij Za says:

It’s illigal if your hid more then 6k (6k still ok)

urbex2007 says:

It invalidates your car insurance in the UK! So you have the car taken off you. If you have an accident you will probably go to prison. It’s a big fine and points on your licence too. The danger is that the light fittings are designed for H7 bulbs, NOT HID…so the focal distances are wrong, the light isn’t projected correctly and it’s unsafe to use them for driving. There is no self-levelling or high pressure washers fitted – completely illegal to do this in the UK as it’s worse than the H7!

Chris Essien says:

any tips on how to do this on a 2002 Mercedes E320?
