Matt Hess says:

Up here in the northeast US those Mazdas rust out much worse than Toyotas.

D L Burns says:

Sometimes the spare tire has a tire pressure sensor too and checking that can also fix the light problem. Mainly a full sized spare though.

Ron Legere says:

Good cars but have a rust problem

Dennis D says:

The newer ones have a gorgeous red color that sparkles in the sun. I'm not a big red guy (prefer blue), but Mazda has the best red paint out there.

Mike Naranjo says:

I have a 2020 Mazda6 with the 2.5T and 34,000 miles I’ve had for about 6 months now. Although I have really driven it hard a couple of times to see what it can do, I drive it pretty normally. It is just a well built, great running vehicle and at the time it was 4000 less than a Camry with the same mileage.

AK says:

This guy does give some bad advice. There’s one video where he recommends using the outside air vents when running your ac so that it circulates the air and supposedly helps keep u awake since you’re not breathing in as much carbon dioxide. Every time I do that, I smell nothing but gasoline from the cars in front of me. Surely inhaling all that gasoline smell all the time can’t be better for you.

Scott says:

My 22 Corolla gets 38-42 mpg in the Tennessee mountains with the a/c on. Nice try though.

Brendan McCabe says:

Unless Mazda changed their TPMS system or you get a “more advanced system” in the USA than here in UK. They don’t use pressure sensors in the tyres, they use wheel speed sensing instead. I’ve had these trigger when rotating the tyres even though the pressures were the same, maybe due to tread depth/rolling radius differences. Simple reset sorts.

Schwenda says:

How do the Mazda 3’s hold up compared to a 6 from the same mid 2010s era? Especially the 2.0?

The 6 is made in Japan while other cars including the 3 & maybe Cx5 were made in Meheeco, if I remember correctly. Who’s historically known for top notch quality and who’s known as the primary outsourcer if/when China’s too far of a boat ride?

John Scroogle says:

There is more than one viewer .. by default ,more than one engine . Who thinks the saying should be ",,Rev up your EngineS ( plural) "???

Ren Khachatoorian says:

As Scotty said he wants the car without a turbo charger, to last long. And indeed with manual transmission, too.

skobie wan says:

I have/had 2 mazda3's….The oldest one was a 2008 2.0 i-sport… the only major problem I had with it was the transmission which just went out at 180k (6 weeks ago). I was the only owner bought brand new for long commute to work…. 45 miles one way in Houston traffic. The trans was a Ford transmission….engine was still going strong…looking for a new car at this time…The other one was a 2012 2.0 i-touring we bought from our neighbor for my oldest son…. currently has 137k no issues still at this time….purchased it 6 year ago from my neighbor!!! great cars!!!

James McLaughlin says:

Scotty, you do a great disservice comparing the Mazda 3 to a Toyota RAV 4. Do the right comparison, Mazda 3 to a Toyota Corolla. Mazda may have improved but not up to Toyota quality yet.

Steve Forbes says:

I had a 1994 Mazda Protege' that was a dream to drive and got a measured 54 mpg!!! WOW! Unfortunately, the transmission cooling lines ran straight through the lower tank of the radiator. They rusted through and the two fluids mixed which nuked the tranny. At the time, it was only a $500 car so, it went to the bone yard. I should have just put another transmission into it but, I didn't have the time or facilities. What a loss.
Now, I drive Toyota Camrys which are from 2000 or earlier. I will never buy anything newer! The older cars are definitely better and last longer.
By the way Scotty, that stupid display screen is right in the middle of the field of view! I would never buy anything with that piece of junk located in that position! That is bad and dangerous engineering which is all that we get in the world of today. You can keep that Mazdump and all of the newer cars! That goes double to ALL trucks made today, TOYOTA INCLUDED!!!

bwtv147 says:

In the 70s I had a Mazda B1600 pickup. Manual transmission, steering, and brakes, manual rill up windows, AM radio. It would be nice
if manufacturers would build a vehicle like that today.

Andrew Beuch says:

Just picked up a 2023 CX-5 2.5 L non turbo awd. I’m required to be at work on those 10inch plus snow days. Fit and finish is excellent and to drive. Love seeing that vin start with a J. Hoping I’ll be driving in 10 plus years from now well into the 200k mile club. Our town and county lasted 185,000 before the transmission went out and the Mazda has to be better than that.

L Spivey says:

The 1st gen Mazda 3's are great cars! Nothing "ugly " about them.

Mike S says:

Scotty jot everyone cares about mileage or a toyota

netimage10s says:

Isn’t the Mazda 3 made in Mexico? I’ll pass !

Motersickle Bum says:

"Full" synthetic oil is a scam. Scotty should know this.

Clifford S. says:

I never thought I'd see the day when Scotty says to buy a Mazda over a Toyota.
