not really sure off the top. if your sensor has a warranty, i would swap it
out with a new one especially if its from autozone. Also check the harness
connector at the sensor, the metal connectors inside, for corrosion or
rust. If the connector is dirty it will effect the signal. Hope it helps,

hi i am not sure if you would know but i have the same style speed sensor
on my 99 ranger and i recently just replaced the sensor and now when i get
to 55 or above the speedometer starts to bounce around.
