I love my 6! Yea I am patiently waiting for the new 6 to come out but if it's too expensive I may have to pass and wait for them to show up used so long as they are not turbocharged or hybrid. I don't need HP I just need to go from point A to point B and as long as it will do the speed limit, I am good.

welcome to the club Kilmer. I bought the 6 isport with 6 speed new in 2016 (end of november) and only paid $18.7k she's going strong at 155k miles with NO other maintenance than standard (oil, filters, tires). its my 7th mazda (bought my wife the 8th, cx-5GT, 2 months ago) and all previous went over 250k miles before I moved on. greatest vehicles under the sun imho…
I remembered there was a Mazda Speed 6 with a manual transmission.

The true test of your ability to drive a standard transmission is to be able to stop and start on a hill.
Have a 2010 Mazda 3 Works amazing no issues, only really changed the sway bar links rear and front links. The road in my country is trash.
Would you buy one of the new cx50s coming out of the new Alabama plant? Really fun to drive but worried about new reliability.

Scotty, I just got a rebuilt engine for my 2013 sonata. The Hyundai techs told me I should wait for 2-3 oil changes (around 10,000 miles) for me to drive hard so the engine breaks in properly. Should I follow this or do I not have to wait as long as they said?

Scotty i know you love toyotas and I can see that love starting to show for Mazdas… for the love of god please do not think that toyota owns mazda. Mazda is fully independent, they may have partnerships (there was litterally a toyota that looked like a mazda 3) but they are independent
I've got a 2014 Mazda 3 with the 2.0 4 cylinder engine and can confirm, the things sips gas on the highway. Cruise control set to 70 on flat road gives me a mile to mile gas usage of 44 mpg. The overall average which I haven't reset in probably 1000 miles is sitting at almost 38 mpg.
I bought a new Mazda-6 in 2017 for $17,800. No problems at all, great road car.

My 2015 Mazda 6 has been faultless. I bought it new, went with the 6 speed auto since I couldn't keep my foot out of it test driving the manual (zoom zoom!). The auto supposedly gets better gas mileage anyway. And Mazda does not use CVT transmissions! Mine does great in winter weather with good all season tires, it handles like it's on rails. I do have a zoom zoom license plate frame on it.
