You got to put up or describe what happened when you put that back in against the timing chain cover… that is the thing seems to be the sticking point on this design. Please give us some details on that part.
The pan is abutted tight on both left and right sides. How do you slide this in place without just shearing off all the RTV and/or destroying what looks like a seal on the timing belt cover side? It seems to be zero clearance unless I pull the timing cover which is MUCH harder to access.
Your video is 2 years old and I'm sure you've moved on long ago but I have a couple of questions. Perhaps you have a recommendation before I start replacing the entire pan. 2 oil changes back, apparently something went awry when I replaced the plug. This last change I note that as the plug begins to snug up, it feels like it's just about at specified torque and all of a sudden it decides to continue turning and rather easily. Shit! So, I tapped the existing plug hole with a 14mm and tried the original plug, same problem. Purchased a new plug, same problem. However, placing a rubber gasket ahead of the plug seemed as though it would work. I do believe I'm leaking oil again. Very slowly, as in a drip. So, before I go through the replacement, was wondering if you have any ideas? Would a coil work in the plug hole and going back to the original plug no gasket?
As for replacement, the Haynes manual says to remove the air filter and filter housing amongst other items. Aside from moving the AC compressor are all of the additional steps necessary?

Thank you very much for this simple explanation. Before the video, I read the book (Haynes Repair Manual) and didn't know what it wanted from me.
is that really how you properly apply gasket maker?
