Chris Ramon says:

when did you get this protege?…… did you make a walk around video of it?

WhoSaidTyler says:

I grabbed a couple used strut from the junkyard. Otherwise the spring must be removed, which I didn’t want to tackle. Just make sure you get ones that are dry and not leaking oil if you decide to go the junkyard route.

Timur Hasanov says:

Thank you, i am about to do the struts on my protege. what struts and springs did u use and are they good?

Laurentiu Dumitru says:

The noise coming from the back of the car and bumpy ride when is not loaded.

cyaard says:

Great video! Looks like changing a rear strut mount on my ’03 protege5 won’t be too much of a problem.

WhoSaidTyler says:

Thank you. I think RPeek is trying to maximize his adsense views with all the different small videos.

WhoSaidTyler says:

Thanks guys.

WhoSaidTyler says:

Haha..yes the old one was. This is another I picked up from Craigslist.

gil zur says:

your car wasn’t in red ?

malibulon says:

The heck with them that’s why I watch your vids is for you commentary !

moparmania74 says:

i like long videos. the longer the better. some people like rpeak that make super shot 1-3 minute videos all the time drive me nuts. i like 10-40 minute videos best. even if they are just continuations of things spread over a few day period. keep doing what your doing tyler. your videos are just fine. i like your and others because it feels like we are right there with you hanging out. and those are the situations when i learn best. when i get little tid bits thrown in to the conversation…

kpds8n says:

Peace brother it’s all good

thedriver02 says:

hahaha that was actually a very good short vid… but your vids are great the way you always do em… but hey, if people are going to watch something they don’t like, that’s their problem then!

chicago85bearz says:

Yeah initial reaction .. you’re videos were/are fine. Fuck them.

HardKnocks60 says:

I think this was a VERY DETAILED tutorial/explanation, and as usual, an excellent video, Tyler!! At the risk of sounding like a prima dona, after taking off the tire, I think I’d hit everything with a pressure washer before disassembly –wouldn’t be so messy. I suspect that you’d have to take that strut assembly to a machine shop to compress the spring and replace the internal strut, unless you’ve figured that out?

I detect a little frustration/annoyance in your voice (understandable, though).

Erdie5 says:

Haha, nice speed swap, man! “You see that big one in the center? Don’t mess with it. Don’t ever mess with it.” Love that.

rangerpru says:

no more soda for you, young man. 😉

siemenstraffic says:

Your older step by step videos are much better.. screw the haters..

astrosafari727 says:

It must be nice working on a car that’s not rrrrrusted!

I like long videos (even though I might not have time to watch all of them.) I can kick back with my chips and dip and enjoy!

travlincub321 says:

LOL, Great Rebuttle Tyler.. But please go back to you’re old style

ghtowagon says:

Barricade them in their grandma’s basement and slash their bicycle tires!

ChevyFan079 says:

I prefer your long detailed videos as well. They are very helpful, especially the Quadrajet series, those are just brilliant. The off-topic chat is enjoyable too, I like your personality.

Tanner King says:

Good to know. Thanks.

WhoSaidTyler says:

Oh don’t worry, I’m going back to my usual video style. The nerve of people though to complain when they get a video tutorial free. Usually though they are idiots in every other aspect of their lives as well.

Thanks for the kind words.

WhoSaidTyler says:

I can’t slow down, the long-video haters will get me.

WhoSaidTyler says:

Well, on this car it banged every time I hit a bump and the rear of the car bounced much more than it should have.

WhoSaidTyler says:

That’s correct, the rear sluts were replaced…lol.

revitup1965 says:

Can you repeat that, I only understand Portuguese. Did you say slut assembly?

Tanner King says:

I miss the old video’s. Screw the people who complain. Whats a symptom that you have a bad strut?

ghtowagon says:

Slow down I have no idea what you just did!!

RetroVintageItems27 says:

I think the person that had retrochad’s Lincon Town Car before him didn’t know how to correctly jack up a car it appears the person did it on the floor pan as their is a big dent coming from bottom of car.

clubcar98 says:

I understand the point of this video but I too prefer the detailed videos. The off topic rambling is important too!

While your doing struts you should come do the ones on that Bonneville we have. The struts are so bad when you let it off the jack the car looks like its been lifted until you push it down. But rather than replacing them they keep driving it and spending a fortune on used tires…/endrant.

RetroVintageItems27 says:

Lol, it seems like your almost mimicking my vidoes for how fast I talk.

kujawat says:

screw the jerkoffs who want short videos… the have short attention spans… short pekkerz too… i like your usual informative videos… don’t try to please the trolls… do what you like.. and you are appreciated… thumbs up
