BETTER, TRI-FUEL TURBINE ENGINE RUNNING THE GENERATOR WITH IN HUB MOTORS TO MAKE MORE SPACE FOR A LARGER BATTERY. TURBINES RUN AT HIGHER RPM TO GENERATE MORE VOLTAGE.
And here I thought that California was part of the United States!
Rotary was made for this. Very small and compact. As Scotty mentioned Computer would control rotate rpm thus allowing for long life.
The "ELECTRICFICATION" is "DEAD" > Before it began! It's too SOON/#1, #2, People "NOW" are realizing that the WHOLE/ENTIRE PURPOSE of electrification is to go and keep people from moving too far. Keep the people close. "DE-Population"! The "New World Order", most people are waking up to this!

What's the lifetime of these batteries? How many times can you charge it ?
I presume it keeps going if fed with gas…? Apparently has a real gas tank with that range, unlike the BMW i3 did.
According to efficiencies I've heard of electrics, you could potentially do with 20 HP(+generator loss) at 60 MPH. If you can also use the engine for heat, then it would make all the more sense up north.
Prediction… EV's will be the death of the major manufactures we know today. People are more comfortable buying tech from tech companies. So if Apple or Microsoft market a car I would assume they would outsell the rest. Tesla is the only manufactor that has even been able to compete in the automobile game since the 30's- 40's..
EV's are stupid
The question is, can we just pump the gas and not charge the car at all or they design it in a way that a full tank won't be able to charge the battery fully?
Is that even possible?

The batteries on electric vehicles only last so long and I guarantee it’s not 150,000-200,000 miles like a gas motor, and most of those batteries are not really recyclable, what are they gonna do with millions of junk huge heavy batteries?

I wonder how they're going to deal with the balancing on a single rotor. The big benefit of the dual rotor 13B's was how smooth they ran because they were counterbalanced. Piston engine goes boing boing boing but the Mazda goes mmmmmmmm…
I hate all electric cars. I can’t wait to the phase over…
EV’s will evolve to be more efficient and ecologically sustainable, the technology just started. All ICE owners will eventually see it happen. Not every single vehicle can be an EV, but most can be.
So this seams that Toyota and Mazda's collaboration was a sound move. As it stands now it seams to be the vehicle that will start a new interest in such forms of future transportation. Peace DVD:)
why make this car like that when you could make it a front wheel drive electric and then put a generator on the back wheels that turns when the car moves down the road and then put two batteries in and make the two work at different cycles so when you run one battery down it switch to the charged one and the generator charges the battery you jest ran down then you have power and a charge going on at all times new evs are designed like crap and its like engineers are getting payed for crap work
