Scotty confirmed the hybrid will cost more in long run. Manual is the good choice. And is reliable, too.
Mazda is way not as good as Toyota or Honda and in terms of prices of parts and maitenance is the most expensive of them. I really do not understand why people buy this brand.
I’ve driven Hondas and Toyotas my whole life. My wife wanted a RAV4 back in January. We went and looked at them. I liked it, dealer wanted $44K. I’ll pass. We went across the street to the Mazda dealership and ended up buying a comparatively equipped CX-5 for $32K. And it turns out the Mazda is a nicer and more comfortable car to drive. I’ve converted to Mazda. Great, great cars.
Do you guys happen to know something about the rumored rear wheel drive – in line six new Mazda 6? My God, it would be a machine to drive. I hope it could be a real thing someday.

These are insanely expensive! In Australia it is $72k driveaway for ~220km of range because only the top of the line variant is offered in EV. Competitors such as Hyundai and BYD offer better range for cheaper pricing.
Mazda should just focus on petrol engines. Their EV is obviously a flop.

Mazda is VERY popular in Australia and has consistently done very well since the mid 2000s. Not sure why it's not doing better in the US.

This idea politicians and ev-makers have about "in average person only drives this far" is very narrow minded. I mean, in average people don't get into traffic accidents, don't get heart attacks and don't emergency brake. So maybe just get rid of insurances, heart medication and there is definitely no need for ABS? So what if on an average day I drive short trips only, when on some weekends or holidays I drive long trips across the country. Am I supposed to buy two cars when most people can't even afford a single EV? Is it ecological for me to have many cars for different purposes? Where am I suppose to park the other one as I live in city?

Mazda has always been a very BORING manufacturer. Their RX line was the best that they ever put out and with that gone they are now officially undesirable!
the best thing Mazda could do is put the 300+hp engine they have in a Miata and have a rotary available in a new rx 9 that looks like the 7
I’m trying to get rid of my 2018 Mazda cx-9 before the 2.5 turbo cylinder head cracks due to their manufacturing issues and I will have to pay what the car is worth to replace the engine!

I own a CX5 Signature and have tested the CX50. The CX5 is a better vehicle; it's interior is made with better materials than the CX50 and the suspension has coil overs vs the CX50's torsion rear suspension. People have been fooled into thinking the CX50 is the replacement for the CX5. The CX60/70 will be the true replacement. Mazda will continue to sell the CX5 until they release the CX60/70. Until then the CX5 will continue to out sell the CX50 because when people sit in both at the dealer they clearly realize the old CX5 is just better.
Weird. Japanese car manufacturers just can’t make a decent EV.

Just got a 2024 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Premium in Jet Black today. Absolutely love it. The quality is amazing.

The only thing I wish was different on my cx5 is that it had a cd player. Otherwise pretty happy with it.
Been trying to get a cx5 carbon addition for 32k out the door and no takers so far. They can keep it.
I remember hearing from someone a while back that the only reason mazda made the mx-30 electric was so they can continue to sell cars in california in the future. Some state legislation or something was passed about car manufacturers needing to have at least 1 electric vehicle in order to continue being able to sell vehicles in california. Makes sense seeing as the mx-30 is only available in california.
EVs will NEVER be has good has petrol u can put fuel in ur car and takes no more than 5mins and get better kms per tank than a ev and evs will NEVER charge a battery from 0% to 100% in 5mins even phones take 1hour to charge ill stick with my camery 1000kms per tank wich takes 5mins from fuel up walk in pay boom
nothing makes me want to get an ev, i will stick with gas or diesel.
