Thanks for the video, very helpful. Now replaced I am seeing similar issue
where when shifting to 3rd engine revs spike. Can’t feel third at all.
Previous plates were down to nothing, one even split.

Followed the procedure. New Clutch pack is in. Everything went smoothly.
Car still pulls hard out of first and second then can’t get into 3-4.
Basically does exactly the same thing. Could it be a computer issue?

my transmission of my 1993 probe. blinks and focus over drive and only has
2 speeds, the first hard very strong .. the drive turns going over the 30
miles.
some doubts of what the problem is?

You need to check the level after the job is done but chances are it wont
need any.

have problem with 626 121.5 3 speed auto slips in first gear to 4,000 rpm
then shifts and drives normal till you stop again goes thru same thing
moves but revs to 4,000 rpm shift drives normal fluid smells really burnt.
Can you tell me what wrong?

My 94 ford probe gt 6cyl only goes into 1st and 2nd gear? Trans fluid
smells burnt and theirs metal chipping all in the trans pan. Anything you
can do to help me out? Thank you

I’m thinking 1st clutch pack or band. Also, my friend that gave the car to
me, put way too much fluid in it. Almost 2 inches above the full line on
the dipstick. More when engine is off and cold. Maybe it being over filled
blew a seal or two.

Is this at all similar to the ford aspire f3a 3 speed auto? I have have
been searching online for about 2 months for info on my symptoms. When I
put it in drive or reverse, I can feel it engage as well as rpm drop like
normal, but when I give it gas it revs to 2500 no higher and wont move.
Make sense?

I am pretty sure it is just first and reverse. I can’t get the car to move
that much. It feels like the parking brake is up when I try to drive it. I
put it in reverse, the car still wants to move forward.
