Well, the one I worked on REQUIRES DEALER PROGRAMMING. Hope yours does not. It will pay cd’s, tune radio stations but NOT PUT OUT any sound until the programming is done.

Brian Pitre says:

Thanks Robert! My CD player went out a while back, and now I know how to replace it!

RSpi007 says:

I don’t at the time. I’ll look into it. I know that the shifter area plate pulls up from the cup holder edge but not sure about the actual knob. If I figure it out I’ll post back.

Hi R Spi007, I know this has nothing to do with the radio but I hope you can help me out, the leather on my CX-9 shift knob is pretty worn out, do you have any idea how to replace it ? I tried turning it counterclockwise but it just keeps spinning, is there some special trick to get it off ? thanks in advance

thanks for posting this video my man,it was really helpful to me
I was able to put back a factory stereo to the car and I had no clue on
how to take everything off…thanks and keep up the good work

RSpi007 says:

Thank you. I had a hard time with that. I really believe I seen CV-9 on the back of it and I did see several places around the web that had CV-9. Maybe I’m tripping.

RSpi007, just a heads up, you have a typo in title, should be CX-9 instead of CV-9, thanks.
