Mazda CX-7 improper diagnosis . . . .

Two different mechanics told us we had a seized engine in a 2008 Mazda CX-7. Wouldn’t start and only had about 3 quarts of oil left in it after refusing to t…

I believe it has more to do with engine sludge than anything else. You have
to be religious about oil changes in the 2.3 L Turbo motor like about every
2,500 miles just to be safe. The owners manual states every 5,000 miles I
believe but people are getting sludge even at that point and it burns up
the turbo and ruins the motor. Mazda just blames it on the customer saying
that you didn’t do regular maintenance and they won’t cover it unless you
provide all documentation. Sludge is so common there is obviously a
problem.

That’s what we thought about this one. It had sludge and ruined the motor
and possibly the turbo. As you can see, it was a seized AC Compressor

Tell me more about the class action lawsuit. I have a 2008 that has been
sitting for 4 months now. Over a year ago I had the VVT actuator and timing
changed as a recall repair. More recently, the engine started to make an
audible humming that I believe reflects the engine speed. The codes that
come up are EGR and timing issues. This CX7 had sludge at 30K miles and
continued to develop sludge even after religious oil changes with full
synthetic. This car has been a nightmare for us.
