You can not just turbocharger any engine or car. Turbo charging any
hi-compression engine which will be over 9.5:1 ratio will spell “EARLY
DEATH”. Most of the time when a stock engine is turbocharger. The excess
heat from the combustion chamber will cook the valve stem and burn the
valve seal. Once the valve seal become leaky. The engine oil will enter the
combustion chamber. Oil in the combustion chamber spell “KNOCK” or “PING”.
A knock or ping engine will never run at optimum factory timing . When the
engine does try to run at maximum timing,it will damage the piston or it
rings and lands. A turbo engine must be spec to 8.5:1 compression ratio and
piston must be forge aluminium .the valve with require a teflon or viton
material for seal during extreme heat, plus many more up grade.

Do I need to change any internals if I want to put a small turbo on a 1.6L
engine? Because this guys didn’t say anything about the internals but many
people say that if you want to turbocharge a car you need new internals…

For those who are looking to make their cars faster, upgrade the
suspension, tires, and brakes first. The turbo should NOT be your go to
choice as it takes a lot of time and money to do especially when compared
to the cost of suspension upgrades

In selection of alloy to stainless, you should of weighed the stainless and
alloy and compared them to at least know what you weight you are adding.
Stainless is after all about 4 TIMES!!! heavier.
