Today we take our first big step on the Miata Drift Car journey in the form of our first big mod: Coil-overs.
**Detailed List of Tools Needed**
-Necessary Tools for (probably) Everyone:
-14 mm Wrench
-Size 5 Allen Wrench
-10mm socket
-Two 17mm sockets
-Two ratchets
-14mm deep socket
-15mm deep socket
-21mm socket
-Penetrating Fluid
-Breaker Bar
-Spring Compressor
-Torque Wrench
-Adjustable Wrench
-Jack
-At Least Two Jack Stands
-Measuring Tape
-Something to Remove Plastic Clips
-If Cutting End Link Bolt:
-Angle Grinder or Other Cutting Tool
-Safety Glasses (Shoulda had these anyway)
-Mask
-Something to hammer
-Tools Needed to Reuse Top Hats:
-Appropriate Socket for Spring Compressor (mine was 19mm)
-17mm Wrench (you can also get away with 11/16″)
-Appropriate Socket for Coil over Nuts (mine was 16mm)
-A Helper

This tutorial should work for any brand coil over on a Miata though. And if you don’t have a Miata, you should still give it a watch, you might learn something.
