I’ve a car maxima 2004. I have an issue with my brakes.
Brakes feel like spongy when pressing the brake peddle. Brake doesn’t feel
like it’s tuck sharp.
On my car I don’t have any Abs or traction control.
Couple of days ago I changed the brake oil with new one. Installed all new
brake pads.
Resurfaced /machined disk brakes.
Brake is definitely better but still it’s not sharp. Still that spongy
feeling.
I really don’t know what to do. Master cylinder?
I would appreciate if you guys do another informative video on the matter
as you always do.
Thanks in advance.
Regards!

my STI very soon!

Are you planning more full builds? Like the Civic or Golf?
If you are then try to get an Integra DC2. The one with proper headlights.

Matthew Phipps says:

Why aren’t their braided lines all the way to the master cylinder

britishav8tor75 says:

I guess they don’t have nitrile gloves down under – brake fluid is nasty
stuff (anything that can damage paint on contact isn’t good for bare
hands). Just sayin.

Luis Jose Nunez says:

Whats the name of that intro song?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Themayseffect says:

I see that most brake line kits only replace the lines at the suspension
mount points(correct me on this component) but why not the entire lines
from the Master cylinder?. I would assume(like on my car) the lines going
although under the car to the rear connectors and the lines going to the
front connectors are also made from a rubber material oppose the a steal
braided of poly material?

David07D1 says:

does any one know whats the name of the music on 5:41

wag8912 says:

I’ve come across some stainless braided kits for the roadster that utilize
a plastic sheath covering the length of the braided section, which I
presume should mostly nullify the effects of salty winter-road driving.
Also, if I’m not mistaken, the stainless braiding of the line covers the
actual (teflon?) fluid line. Thus, whether or not the stainless braid is
absolutely required for the functionality or if it’s solely for physical
protection from the elements I do not know.. maybe someone can clarify?
Also, I love the series guys, keep it up!! You’ve gained another
subscriber!!

MisterNBG says:

I don’t like Miata’s… or most Mazdas for that matter… But what I do
like are cars purpose built. Cars that have had a lot of time and effort
put into for them to accomplish certain things. This little MX5… I
respect. I Fucking love track cars! I hope they stick to this build and
keep chasing the .10’s of seconds on tracks!

Patrick Carta says:

Also a good tip is: Put something on your brake pedal that holds the brake
before you do this job. It will stop the brake fluid from leaking out while
changing the brake lines.

Pro Speed Racing says:

Brakes are one of the most important parts of a vehicle. To ensure you
enjoy a safe ride it is vital to keep your brakes working in top condition
and the best way you can do that is by keeping the brakes well-oiled and
change the fluids periodically. Changing the brake fluids regularly not
only ensures safety but also increases the life of the braking system.

Mike S says:

Good Mod . . thx for the video

Lupus Rex says:

I’m sure someone already said this, but to avoid soaking the floor and
parts in brake fluid, use a piece of wood or pipe to engage the brake pedal
against the driver seat. That way, the master cylinder blocks any more
fluid from draining out, and the back pressure means that the fluid in the
pipes stays in the pipes, making the switch less of a mess. :)

msul78 says:

He’s absolutely right, it is a rubbish scientific test.
