mike s considering this is the first video I ever done doesn’t matter if
its my thing or not the amount of people that have thanked me for it
proves it was worth putting on because I have saved them from going to a
garage so get yourself a life and stop complaining about videos going on
youtube,. as long as they help people and save them money whats the
problem . saddo

Local Hooligan says:

Many thanks on your fantastic and detailed explanation which enabled me to
replace the driver’s side low beam headlight on my 2004 Mazda 6 in about 20
minutes! I had Firestone quote me $200+ for labor which was insane to say
the least! Again many thanks and cheers from a snowy US!

Craig Mahan says:

Thanks….watched your video to see all the steps and then just did it by
feel without removing the wheel cover….Thank you for making the video!

mike s says:

videos are not your thing..

Ed Ballas says:

My daughter has a Mazda 6, over the course of a couple months both the left
and right low beams needed to be replaced. This video is accurate for the
left side. Although, I found it easier to remove the left tire though in
order to be able to get the fender well cover off and just to have more
room to work. With the right bulb, I was able to access the bulb from the
top through the engine compartment, it was a little snug but I was very
relieved to NOT have to take the tire off. Kudos to this man

stephen connor says:

Thanks Adam glad it was helpful and yes I did Rae the criticism with a
pinch of salt there are some sad and lonely people out there. Lol

Adam Bellas says:

Take the criticism with a grain of salt. The camera work and lighting could
have been better, sure, but you helped me take care of the job in 10
minutes flat today. Once I got in there I knew exactly what you were doing
in the video and what I needed to do. I appreciate that you shared this.
Thanks. 🙂

tecco59 says:

someawfuldisease feel free to send me a new camera and light if you want to
and editing software but if you can see by the comments , thanks and views
that I have had it has helped a lot of people. that is the reason I put it
on in the first place. if you don’t like it don’t watch it or send me the
new camera and stuff and I will make a new one just for you. some people
are hard working and cant afford top of the range equipment so we use what
we can. If you fancy donating equipment msg me

tecco59 says:

Bose stereo but not full leather

tecco59 says:

yes same process

someawfuldisease says:

Get this gentleman a better camera and light. Oh, and some basic editing
software to cut this video in half. Now, it should be noted that after 6 or
more years many of those little black plastic grommets will strip or break
off. I was able to get one light replaced but the other side was 2 hours of
my life I’d like back. Why Mazda makes it so difficult to simply change a
light bulb escapes me. My only guess is that they want to infuriate their
loyal customers into never buying a Mazda again.

jeff lewis says:

Thanks for making this video man, it helped a lot.

Bongwater123 says:

I can get the bulbs out but how do you take the wire out. Is there a
release or something?

elbuenjames says:

can you install a HID xenon kit, in the same car??

Hamsy Shan says:

i don’t know what the fuck ur doing ? soory

Jonathan Hall says:

Thanks mate, you are a COMPLETE star! Turned an awkward headscratcher into
a 5 minuter.

44Celt says:

Saved me from having to drop the front bumper, thanks from another welsh
boyo

TheDjsquirrel says:

Thanks , your video help me a lot! and save me money!

tecco59 says:

the metal wire clamps are a springclip if yo push the sides in it should
come undone then drop down then you can get bulb out

Pot Moon says:

Thinks cause i didn’t even know where to start on this stupid car

tecco59 says:

Hi mine is right hand drive estate but if you cant get in under the engine
cover on yours i should imagine you can get in through the wheel arch as
shown in video hope this helps thanks

Jared Durbin says:

Thank you so much. It took me about 30 minutes to do it instead of paying
$70 for Mazda to do it. Thank you, thank you!!!

Steve Carr says:

has yer car got full leather interior and a bose stereo (top of the range)

OzTwanger says:

Thanks for the post which helped me change my bulb in about half an hour. I
would have struggled with it because the owner’s manual is a joke.

cserpa63 says:

Excellent video – what a pain if you don’t know which way the retaining
clip is supposed to be pushed to release. Towards the engine and up.
Brilliant. Also great news that you can access through the simple; 3 screw
removal wheel panel. Tip – on your next video use a little pointer on items
that are deep into any car compartments – screwdriver would work. From
Chicago IL, USA – Thank You!

BullsNut23 says:

Hello- Thank you for this. Please confirm that the same process should/can
be applied on the passenger side. I believe at beginning of video you did
say “same” for passenger side. Just want to double-check. I have a 2004
Mazda 6 Sudan.

Lori Carlstrom says:

Thank you so much. We couldn’t figure out how to get to it. thanks again.
you really saved us alot of time and frustration.

diane long says:

great video (although i can’t get one of the screws off near the wheel); it
should not be this involved to change a bulb though. ready to get rid of
this mazda.

robertmazda6 says:

good video. Mazda wanted to charge me 118$!!! I fixed my turn signal too.
The metal prongs melted to the plastic, which wasnt allowing a connection.
Mazda wanted 85 For parts and labor!!! what a bunch a leeches!!

drynaps says:

Thank you so much for posting this. It helped me figure out how the heck to
change my headlight. I have the D2S headlights on my Mazdaspeed6 and I
could not figure out for the life of me how to get at it. Once I saw your
video it only took me 10 minutes to get the old bulb out and the new one in.

ICDJ815 says:

Thank you so much for your video! My passenger side headlight when out and
I was worried I would have to spend money and time out of my workday to
take it in to get fixed. Thanks to you, I only had to spend $5.89 at
Wal-Mart for the lamp and about 15 minutes of my Saturday! Yes! On a side
note, I discovered that it is not necessary to take off the underside cover
for the passenger headlight. Everything is easily accessible from under the
hood. 🙂

Jon Deatrick says:

Thanks for the how to. It worked out great and saved me a bundle.

wenchmagnet says:

Thank you, this was very useful. I’m trying to do this on my 2009 Mazda6
with HIDs though and it seems a bit more complicated. :/

tecco59 says:

@hungariangeorg what donyou call the cockpit and whjch bulb you on about ?

Rawkinz dayz says:

Thanks Installed bulb in under 5 minutes

ThunderGun says:

You probably just saved me an hour. Thank you very much!

Ken Royall says:

Great video but shame on Mazda for that bit of crap engineering. Surely
they could have come up with a way to make the headlight assembly more
serviceable.

jakeyYabYuh says:

Do you have a video on how to change a hi-beam bulb on mazda 6?

Shehan V. Welihindha says:

I just have to say THANK YOU! I was quoted US$140 for labor alone to
replace my headlight bulbs of my 2007 Mazda 6 (4 cyl) because apparently
they had to take off the bumper to do it, which would take 2 hours. These
instructions worked perfectly and only took me 30 mins. Thanks again!

tecco59 says:

it will only fit in one way. if you cant get the spring clip on you have
got it the wrong way round

mandy42311 says:

Thank you so much for posting this very helpful walkthrough! Spending $8 is
always better than spending $70 for Mazda to do it!

someawfuldisease says:

The hardest part was the dirty old grommets near the tire. I had a heck of
a time getting the inner part to lift up just enough to pull the whole
thing out. Also, there was plenty more grommets on the 2006, but I was able
to wiggle my hand in there and replace the bulb. Thanks much!!!

Rodney Sessoms says:

Thanks for your info/video, I saved a lot of money on the lamp & both
labor. For any1 who needs this lamp for low beams or headlights, H1 2005
Mazda 6 can be found @ Wal-Mart for around $6.

tecco59 says:

no problem if you would like to look at some of my other video`s would
appreciate it thanks

tecco59 says:

Glad I could help

vids4dsc says:

Thanks tecco69 for posting. Saved me time and frustration. I too was able
to change the bulb without having to come in from underneath once I saw the
whole process from your video. I used needle nose pliers to pull off the
wire. Along with a screwdriver, I pulled the clip off. Note: I needed my
regular pliers to pressure the cap inwards while turning it with my flat
screwdriver.to get it back into the close position.

tecco59 says:

no problem glad i could help.wwould be gratefull if you browsed through my
other video`s as i get a bit of revenue back from them which helps thansk
again
