3.5mm jack is just for sound, you wont be able to control songs through the radio.

I literally drove out to Vaughan to pick up my GTA Car Kit right after registering my 2005 RX-8 at the MTO. I installed it myself in about 30min. The kit works perfectly. This video was extremely helpful. He’s not joking when he says be careful not to drop the bolt in the back. Dropped mine while putting the radio back together and I’m pretty sure it vanished into a blackhole inside my dash. Put it back together without and it seems secure. I would recommend this to anybody with this car.

MAte you dont need to do 80% of those steps… At least on the UK version, all you need to do is remove the glove compartment and try to plug it through by filling the socket which (in the UK version) is right next or under the antenna, trust me it will save you a heck of alot of work and the only thing you need to take out is the glove compartment! :))

you will need a model number 9.55 or higher. So the kit will not work with 9.50 unfortunately :((.
my car is on 9.50 its a 2004 rx8 is that fine? and mine is also a automatic any differences there from the manual shown in the video?

U wouldn’t have to drill a hole. There’s a piece of small piece of plastic you can pop of with a flat head screw driver
