:)) we are glad to hear.
Great post! I actually fed the wires into the coin box compartment. No need to drill holes.
thats how the kit works, with the software of this radio.
why did you need to press the ‘CD’ button instead of the ‘Media’ button?
you will have yo use the apple lightning adapter with iphone 5.
this kit will work either way, even if you do not have a stock AUX.
not all mazdas came with it, most of them DID NOT. if its not in the armrest, than you do not have it.
yes it does!!
yes of corse!!
Does it work with the hatchbacks?
is the 30 pin adapter also recharge the phone?
Awesome tutorial – it worked fine for me. Thank you very much.
Thanks for the info.
yes you can, that’s how I have it installed in my Mazda3
Hi, I also bought this kit and had the same question as you. not all Mazda3s have the aux in the glove compartment and no aux option at all, if yours doesn’t have it there, then you don’t have it and CarKit is perfect for you, I’ve had it for almost six months and it works awesome, I can also stream Pandora and files from my iPhone.
I have an 05 mazda 3, and i do not see the factory aux in the glove box. is it hidden behind something and/or will your kit still work?
Best way to install the car kit…..
can you feed the wire all the way to the compartment in the middle of the seats?
I have a question; does the Pandora radio and other radio apps work with this installation?
Is there a new model available for iPhone 5?
I’m happy with my Car Kit but I can’t seem to be able to play all of my playlists (just some) is there a particular reason for this? You said that “your playlists have to be properly arranged”, what do you mean by that? can you please explain how’s a playlists properly arranged? Thanks!
yes it will be the same on aus model car.
Yes you can still switch the music through the radio.
the only way to use our kit with an android device, is through the AUX. But you will have to control everything, through the phone, not the radio.

yes it will.
yes it will.
most of these cars didnt come with them, if you dont have it, you have less to worry about.
you have to make sure that your playlists are properly arranged.
yes it is.
Took like 20 minutes to do, so easy and very satisfied with results. If you have a Mazda 3 with not AUX functionality, this is the solution 🙂
Thank you very much, it is very helpful
The process is same on 2004 mazda 3 S?
I just installed it in my Mazda 3 2006. Took me about 20 min and works great except for one thing:
For some reason I don’t have the playlist mode (the one where the ipod is locked and only usable through the car console).
Anyone came across this problem? please somebody help me!
you said there is a aux outlet in the glove box at 2:30 seconds… there isnt outlets in there.
Would this work with in Australia too….? 🙂
aux appears after pulling the plug on the back of the radio
does this work forsure with a 2004 mazda 3?
Hey all, there’s a just an auxiliary jack you can install the same way, the question I have is this: I have an 06 mazda 3 and have not tried the install yet, but it looks like unlike in the video, the area behind my ash tray is not hollow, so do I have to drill a hole there for the audio jack to run, or is it actually hollow behind the ash tray and just need to drill a hole in the ash tray itself?
So it works perfectly fine with android phones samsung galaxy s2?
Does it with android phones?
When its on EX 1 or hybrid mode can you still use the steering wheel to change songs?
I received mine yesterday, extremely easy to install, the sound quality is good using my iPhone’s 30-pin connector, I highly recommend this product if you want to integrate your iPhone or iPod to your car’s factory radio without investing on a new one.
Your steering wheel controls can be used for music skip, it is perfect!

Where shop ? I can buy connector 16 pins?
Do you know pin position about it use to ?
