on this specific car…not every car, the air box creates alotttt of restriction. And not to mention it was so big, it took up the whole right side of the bay. do some research before you comment on videos like these
Cold air intake does nonthing
yes exactly, the sucky thing is that its so big and bulky
yea that type of airflow meter is a vane type airflow meter it has like a shutter door on it right? for the control like a modern throttle body, you hardly find them on the newer cars now
like, like, like……
im also 17 and work at pizzahut and also i just found a super cheap mod that will add 15-20 hp for 85$ its called a underdrive pulley kit, what it does is reduce the usage of the accesories(a/c,water pump, alternator, crank) which will free up quite a bit of horsepower.:) try looking into that i just ordered my set
thanks alot for the positive feedback, ive been getting alot of people recommending mods and fuel injectors seems to be the most common bang for buck mod, however im only 17 and i work at goodwill so doing all these mods is going to take some time, i do a few things every pay check and hopefully before the end of the year it should be “done”
nice, my intake is set up to drop below my wheel wells for best air intake, you should try that, i own a 01 stang gt and have to say out of all my mods, the intake, plenum and throttle body made the most difference. also to get alot of power cheap on that miata buy a new fuel injector set, a good one will add around 20hp and cost anywhere from 130-250$.
