3″ Downpipe and midpipe install on Mazda RX-7 FD3S

I swapped out the stock downpipe and made a 3″ midpipe with 3″ highflow cat and 3″ glass pack. It’s pretty much all done I just have to finish up tomorrow.

man!

CmdrTobs says:

How on earth did you get the downpipe heat shield off without removing the
steering shaft… that last bolt (top furthest back) is impossible to get
to?

kyle aberdeen says:

are you going to pull the motor still ?

LMNOP says:

@xNibz12345 yeah all this has to be done either way. I’m just working on
selling the parts car to get the rebuild kit and stuff. the engine still
runs great I wanted to take it for a couple more drives before the rebuild
with everything working properly now, then we got snow

kyle aberdeen says:

rekevin1 says:

Wow, you got super lucky with that downpipe. It took me 4hrs just to take
that off. Those bolts were almost impossible for me.

Sgt Sleazebag says:

How cold is it there? Ur shop have heat? Looks like ur pretty cold towards
the end ! Sweet vids – keep em comin

Bugnutz438 says:

Have you got any plans of relocating the battery? Your engine bay is a
tight fit.

LMNOP says:

@rekevin1 I had to use a different rachet/socket combo for each nut. its a
FAMspeed rx7 so im hopin it has the hyflow twins lol haven’t checked yet it
has the famspeed plaque on the firewall
