Did the header screws reach far enough to catch the windshield after the job was done? When I had my top done in synthetic suede, the material couldn't stretch enough to get into the base of the hole. It looks like that was the case for you too. I ended up putting a thick washer with a cone shape inner profile for a flat head screw in the hole (fit perfectly) and replacing the stock screws with longer countersunk to sit in the washer. You may have seen it on Lotustalk.
