Nice video, thanks. Did you that turbidity (cloudiness) not hurt the fish?
Great post, a lot of good info in the vid!
Enjoyable to watch and good job. Lots of work had to be done and you got
through it. I have to do something similar. I am ordering new ornaments and
eco complete. Also, I unfortunately have a black beard algae infestation so
once I get my stuff in the mail, ill be cleaning out my ornaments with
bleach and cleaning off my plants.
Great video man. I will sub, how long did you keep your old substrate for
before you changed it mate?
The last time u were active was 8 months ago what happened?!!
spent about 3 tries 10 minutes each trying to catch my one cory cat. Spent
two days trying to catch my rainbow shark. finally got him today to trade
to the pet store
Great video
Cmon post some more via and updates we miss ya
Great video.
Do you use the water you took out of the aquarium to fill it up again?
what a beautiful tank!
Where do you get dirt…Do you buy it from an petstore order it….or use
any old dirt…I truthully love the look with a certain setup and fish xD
@TheWhoafish very true! good point!
I was just wondering would you reccomend those tweezers?
oh gahaha…..what section
no offence to dustin, but it seems like many people don’t like dirt
Is that from the petstore or a garden center xD
your vids are always so detailed and very nice, hell yea man keep up the
good work.
are those shrimp at the end?
haha thanks a lot 🙂
@TheRossiboy do you need air stone when you have a lot of plants ?
Hey mate, whats the name of the dirt you have in your tank before hand? I’m
looking to set up my tank just like your orginal one do you reckon you
could let me know what plants youve got, your tanks amazing and I’d love to
have about 20 neon tetra’s(I got 23 gallon tank)
Nice video! Thanks for posting.
A fish that can really help algae control in your tank are Siamese algae
eaters, they will eat all types of algae. By the way great vids man your
like the best fish expert on youtube
Why you didn´t put the new substrate on top? about 2 cms instead of
removing the old one?
Great video. Nice tank and layout.
Nice tank bro!

Been watching your vids for a while and haven’t subscribed…until now that
is. I’ve had my freshwater tank for a while now, I’d say about since last
July. I’ve lost some fish but, overall I am happy with what I’ve
accomplished. Lately I’ve been thinking about switching my substrate like
you did in this video. Is fluorite better than just plain old sand? Or is
it the color that made you pick this substrate. My tank isn’t heavily
planted but, I do have live plants and plan to get more. Thanks!
@TheAquariumKid Thanks a lot man! yeah I’m gonna keep everyone updated on
it…It’s kind of a large grade sand so it isn’t easily stirred up although
there is a lot of dust but that is taken out of the water in the first 3
days it’s a lot easier to put plants in and it’s way cleaner! lol I
remember when you had sand then you switched to black gravel now to
flourite…I haven’t had any problems with it so far and no fish have died!
it doesn’t alter PH or ammonia etc so I’m loving it so far!
When you change from straight gravel to like sand does it get rid of the
“good bacteria” in the tank, 2 female guppies, a betta, an albino Cory cat
his got too many channel views
as much as possible
@TheRossiboy not to bad I will watch how it goes with your tank and might
get it
usualy walmart lol
Do you do water changes for this type of aquari?
Hey Ross, What is the website you used to order the planting tongs? Thanks
Oxygen can actually move freely through the thin dressing gown material and
be absorbed into the water. CO2 system is not needed for many plants at all
let alone for an hour or so. This looks like an uneducated comment 🙂
…*put
What lighting do you use for this tank?
@TheFishHobbyist 1 in the front an 2 in back
It’s alright just it’s just a little messy when it comes to replanting
@mbezik yeah it took a while but it was a lot clearer in the end 🙂 Yeah I
love the tweezers! they were soo cheap and it just speeds up planting so
much…they aren’t great for planting large stem plants but they’re great
for small plants like dwarf sag and pogostemon 🙂 yeah I’ll send you the
link
Nice tank!! Thanks for the information. I’m changing my substrate using
flora max today because I want live plants. How do you do periodic water
changes though?
Really nice little aqua-scape well done!
@Wildguitar007 sounds good…It was organic potato compost lol any organic
soil will work…at the taime I had dwarf sag, ludwigia repens, anubias
barteri, java fern, java moss and some type of hygrophilia
@Pop12646Okami Yeah you can do that too, it just depends on the size of
grain of sand…mine is a little heavy so I would have problems siphoning
it out.
look y am gona make a planted aquarium in october can you givme your e
mail, for advice. becouse i tried erlier and it didnt work the water stayed
orange becouse of the woood that a fishstore selld me.. please help
