Natashahoneypot says:

thank you, I hear the lyrics differently here. Instead I hear “cut me off”
. I hear this because I hear the cut off as an image of the foetus, being
born. The moon on a stick, means to me a sexual image. And the character
wants the moon on a stick to create and see a child . The bird flies into
my room, is metaphor for arrival of birth into the womb. He sets the child
free. … sometimes I think radiohead have a female ghost writer.

Adyman182 says:

I would shape myself into your pocket
Invisible
Do what you want
Do what you want

I will shrink and I would disappear
I would slip into the groove
And cut me off
And cut me off

There’s an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
So now I’ll set you free
I’ll set you free

There’s an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
So now I’ll set you free
I’ll set you free

Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers
‘Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what if
Just to see what it is
I can’t kick the habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head
Listen to your heart

We will shrink and then be quiet as mice
While the cat is away
Do what we want
Do what we want

There’s an empty space inside my heart
Where the weeds take root
So now I’ll set you free
I’ll set you free

‘Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what if
Just to see what is

The bird that’s flown in to my room
Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers
‘Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
I dance around a pit
The darkness is beneath
I can’t kick your habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head
Listen to your heart

Audio can’t be HD, just sayin’

Sensanty says:

Beautiful, beautiful song. I never realized the true meaning of the song
since most of the words are unintelligible when you just hear them, and
it’s a surprise and a shock to find the truth behind the song. Beautiful

Bryan Chapman says:

is it not “Slowly we unfold”, not Unfurl?

Alice Fittock says:

blope332 says:

@happyhazelnut I think he’s talking about a girl. We pursue them, give
compliments. They get a fast ballooning head (big ego trip), don’t love us
back (creates the empty space where weeds take root). So, now I set her
free. I’ll set her free (I give up).

Nicolas Mauricio Cadin Villa says:

Immediately i thought about the Buddha and the lotus flower, also as mice
when the cat’s gone is like when we are children and we do things when the
adults aren’t around that we wouldn’t do other wise, or people in general
when the boss or the police aren’t watching. My superficial instinctual
outlook,

Matthew Hall says:

Anyone who writes lyrics and dances like that has to be on some really,
really good shit.

eyeson theball says:

happyhazelnut says:

Is he talking about shaping into what the media wants………or what a
girl wants…?
