Lotus Exige S Episode 6 – Baffled sump install (EliseParts)

Lotus Exige S Episode 6 – Baffled sump install (EliseParts)

Resolving a potential issue with the Lotus Exige S today for when I take it to the track, oil starvation in the Toyota 2ZZ engine. This is a common problem which is not too difficult to fix. The new baffled sump also provides an addition litre of oil capacity which is nice to have.

So I purchased an EliseParts baffled sump and changed the oil and oil filter at the same time as well! Needless to say there were some surprises waiting for me as usual…

The sump can be found here: https://www.eliseparts.com/shop/engine-block/engine-block-assembly/baffled-sump-toyota/

Just found your channel – Nice and clear tutorial. I've bought a SeriouslyLotus baffled sump to fit to my 111R SC that I need to get around to fitting.

Finding 2 oil filter seals – Classic!! It’s safer to remove studs with a stud puller, bit like a socket, very easy to use and will not damage the block sealing face. Not expensive to add to the tool kit given the extensive work you are doing.

Nice video. Didn't realise you can remove those studs, I'll be doing this once I refit my EP sump.
