Do you ever drive this car on the street? I believe I saw it while in
London. This is an interesting way to approach alternate fuels and hope to
hear more about it.

herrlip72 says:

Think this is the way to go, without a doubt

Thr33pladdy says:

i hope you realise HOW LUCKY YOU ARE

Adrenaline filled dream says:

Do you sell a ecu tune for tri-fuel to the public? I would love one for my
Lotus

Ameen Rahman says:

i met the engineers at the display in my workplace with regards to this car
(they were also displaying sound technology for the electric cars as well),
we had a good chat, about how lotus were working on a infrastructure for
methanol etc. Like many many people, i don’t want to see the end of
combustion engines. Like the engineer said, until the law allows methanol
to be used as an everyday fuel, things like this will only stay as concepts.

XD LOL 😛

weffew says:

There’s already an electric lotus. It’s called the Tesla.

Guitar Zeroh says:

f’ing brilliant. amazing times considering the fossil fuel (cough cough)
past…?

Hi Jeffgooloolie, The Exige 270E Tri Fuel uses a supercharger as a method
of forced induction, rather than a turbo. This is exactly the same
supercharger as used on a ‘regular’ Exige S. The only differences between
an Exige S and the 270E Tri Fuel are the addition of a sensor to detect
which fuel is being used (or any combination of the three). The fuel lines
have also been upgraded along with calibration changes to the ECU. Thanks
again for your interest. Lotus Engineering

jeffgooloolie says:

Interesting that Lotus doesnt tell anyone that this particular concept is
using a turbo. They make it seem like Methenol is the only difference
between the 270 tri fuel, and a regular Exige.

How bout an E85 conversion kit for the Lotus and other 2zz ge engines in
the road. I would love to consume insane amounts of petrol without a second
thought.

Zcarbon says:

Go Lotus!! Great cars, I cant wait till I can afford them!
