Very very sad under 10,000 miles and this many Glitches with the thing , that's definitely ridiculous & definitely not a exotic even though most true exotics are maintenance nightmare pig's with a little more milage like 500 miles, cruise not working & you simply wiggled some wires ? Crazy Gotus is definitely a confirmed Chinese knockoff Dollar store Generic thing with airbags supplied by Daewoo China , Cheapest supplier Potus could find & don't forget the Toyota Privia minivan V6 engine.
Your cruise control problem isn't lotus specific I suspect it was borrowed from Toyota. I had a very similar issue in a Celica turned out to be the clock spring even though my Airbag light was not on and the horn still worked it was a weird electrical short inside the clock spring which would fix itself if I played with wiring or hit the control stalk just right. Cost of repair under $100
Read the Handbook and you might understand the functionality of the ignition and switches. Google only finds you comments from other owners who don't read the 'king Handbook!
Serious issues!! did the engine caught on fire in the middle of a highway drive on a weekend, and you had to get a taxi home and get back with tow track the day after? Did the power steering fail all of a sudden and you hit a tree because you couldn't turn the wheel on a curve? The cup holder didn't break, right? it wasn't there to begin with!! You should get a 10 years old italian car, these have serious issue. I don't have the money to buy such a great car, but a few videos like this on youtube, convince me that if had that money, I would get a Lotus because it seems like a great reliable car.
When the car is unlocked and not started for circa 40 seconds the alarm re-immobilises the engine so you have to press the button on key fob again before starting. This is common practice on a lot of cars, with keyless ignition its being phased out as it can sense the key obviously!

one of your problems with the car is that you damaged your aftermarket wrap because you hit shit?
For boot / trunk release, on the IPS your handbrake must be on and the gearbox in park and ignition to at least position 1

For the inside trunk release button, try it when the handbrake is pulled up and with the ignition key inserted.
