I keep getting told to download a winzip
I Keep getting this message “Error Processing SmKBAuth.fcc file” I have
tried reinstalling certificates on IE 11 and also tried firefox and chrome.
I can’t do anything but log on with chrome? Please help

i’ve done all the steps you specified and ako and dts still do not
recognize my certificates. My CAC expired a few days ago would that have
anything to do with it?
Hey Michael, I’m trying to get this working on google chrome (Or should I
try doing this with windows explorer first?) Well anyways I downloading the
one you did and it’s still telling me “certificate authentication failed”
what do you thing the problem is and I’ve checked that I have the
certificates and they’re there.
I got a nasty proxy code virus from downloading InstallRoot or ActivClient.
what do these certs do when you download em?
Hi Michael! Is there a ActivClient for Windows 8.1 RT (Surface) I want to
check my webmail but it wont work. It works with AKO, but not with my
email. The link is https://web-stlm03.mail.mil/owa.

You did all of the installing the DoD certificates? That is only 1 step.
Please visit MilitaryCAC and follow the installation instructions,
including ActivClient, CAC reader, and driver.

@inotnas, Are you able to access any other CAC enabled websites from this
same computer? Have you tried using internet Explorer as your web browser?
It would be much easier if you completed the webform located on Militarycac

about: “Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security
certificate. For more information, see “About Certificate Errors” in
Internet Explorer Help.” what I need to do I really need to do my training

I had the same problem for the same reason: SSD. This video worked
perfectly.
Installing the DoD Certs on Windows 8 is a little different. Click the link
to download, copy the file to your desktop, then right click and select Run
as Administrator. The rest of the video should be the same.
@playstation406, I’d like to help you, but I do not know enough to even
begin to assist you. for instance, which CAC reader do you have? which
specific CAC (ID card) do you have, which version of ActivClient are you
at? It would be easier if you visited MilitaryCAC and ask a question on my
questions form.
@ICENSOREDI, The Macs pull the certificate automatically when they visit
the website. Firefox does it as well. What kind of problems are you
experiencing? Have you visited MilitaryCAC?
When you say you can’t get them to work. Do you mean they won’t download?
Or you are running the file, per the instructions above, and having
problems accessing a certain page? Replying this way is difficult because I
cannot out any hyper links in the replies. Can you go to MilitaryCAC and
click the link titled: If you have questions or suggestions for this site,
contact Michael J. Danberry. Click on contact , then fill out the form for
your computer’s OS.
The DoD certificates have nothing to do with the CAC reader. It has to do
with the Internet Options, Content (tab), certificates (button),
Intermediate Certifications Authority (tab).
i am still getting the “Certificate-based authentication failed” message
I have a very frustrating and irritating problem….No certificates are
showing up in my PERSONAL area. All the certificates are in the
intermediate category, but when i click on personal, I get nothing. When I
go to access the portal, I get a read error. I followed your instructions
to the T and its still not working. Any advice on this issue?
The DoD certificates file installs the Intermediate Certification
Authority. If you are not seeing any certs in your Personal tab, it means
your CAC reader is not bringing them to your computer. It would be much
easier if you filled out my support form at militarycac
@Joshua Trefethen, Great to hear.
You will have to install Windows on your Mac either using Boot camp, or in
a virtual machine like parallels, VMware, or Virtual box. ApproveIt does
NOT exist for Macs. Read more on MilitaryCAC select the How Do I button,
followed by Use with a Mac
