Do I REGRET Installing a Larini Exhaust on My Lotus Elise? | The Exhaust Series

Do I regret installing an aftermarket Larini exhaust on my Lotus?

Sometimes in life, we make choices that we later regret. Do I regret my choice to have a Larini sports exhaust installed on my 2007 Lotus Elise? The stock exhaust already sounded great, but I wanted a more aggressive tone…did I get what I bargained for?

Ultimately, an exhaust choice is a personal decision. I happen to really love how the Larini sounds…but was it worth the cost and the potential black flagging that could occur on track days?

Have you ever made a modification on one of your cars that you ended up regretting for reasons unforeseen at the time? Let me know in the comments BELOWTUS!

Really like your work. I have a 2bular with the quiet option. Love it but i do pop ear plugs in for motorways. I added the trd airbox and wooohooo. Can’t stretch to exhaust do the air box.

Sometimes you can get around it being too loud on a track by being in a different gear/rpm range and staying off the throttle.
That's what I've heard Matt Farrah say about Laguna multiple times.

As far as local tracks go…My Larini with decat (which would be louder than yours) was only flagged for sound at Club Motorsports in NH. And they specifically stated that it was mostly because of the pops/backfire the exhaust was making on upshifts. So far, I've been all good at the other local tracks.

My 2007 Elise is 100% stock if you want to do any side by side videos after you do any other mods.
