That would be a fun driving experience, except for entry and exit. I was surprised that even Lauren, being a little shorter, had trouble entering the cockpit.
I hope you had the owner sign a waver before the install . If I could ever afford a Lotus I would without question spend the money for the factory compressor .
Lotus, reliable engine and I believe transmission. Good handling cars when new. That's my thoughts, not much.
Bigger pulley also MIGHT need a slightly longer belt.
You might have to open up Ray's Parts Store where the part number on the box is part inside the box and where the part inside the box is new. All to get the proper parts.
55F out of the vents on the hwy? That is not an acceptable result. I wonder how soon the customer will come back with a complaint that "you" installed his part wrong because the AC isn't cold enough.

Run away ray, using chinese parts to fix a UK lotus can only go bad. RUN AWAY.
