I leave the top off my Elise all the time. I'm 5'7" but its also very noisy in the cabin with the roof on. The previous owners were not mechanically minded. I have really looked after my Elise and brought it up to to condition. Yes I did the Cam timing belt and yes I have the cam locking tool!
Any buyer that chooses to ignore this excellent comprehensive checklist is destined for the "Grand Sucker" list – Unless you know the owner and the car's history.
Please explain what the white dots are on the dipstick and what forms them. I understand the circumstances (hard driving with a cold engine) but I would like to understand what happens to cause the white dots and exactly what they are?

If you drill 3 little holes 5mm in the thermostat it will give you a little water flow from the beginning until the thermostat opens up. This will work on most cars, and will save your butt if your thermostat ever fail. It will take slightly longer for your car to get up to operating temp. But it will stop the sudden water temp fifference when the thermostat opens, it also makes it easier to bleed the water system after flushing water.

D3Sshooter how tall are you? Im 6ft 2 and a half inch young fit and flexible guy. Do you think i will fit inside? Maybe some deep bucket seat will help? I will be grateful for your opinion. Cheers!
